How should I prepare for my Acupuncture appointment?
Below are some suggestions to prepare you for your first appointment:
- Eat something before your acupuncture appointment.
- Wear clothes that can easily be rolled up. Many of the acupuncture points that we use are knees down, elbows down, on on your back and abdomen.
- Fill out your paperwork online, or arrive 10-15 minutes early to fill out the paperwork in person.
What should I wear for My Massage?
You should wear what makes you comfortable. Some women decide they want to remain fully dressed, while others decide they want to leave their underwear and bra, or just underwear on. We want you to be comfortable, and able to relax into the massage, and are happy to work with you finding the perfect level of comfort.
Does Acupuncture Hurt?
Acupuncture should not hurt. The needles are tiny (hair width), and with the proper technique you should not feel pain. When a needle is inserted, you may feel a slight pinch initially, or a dull ache as the needle goes in.
